When the Covid-19 Pandemic thwarted the momentum of hyped San Diego supergroup Little Evil, singer/guitarist Anthony Amoroso and bassist Nick Palumbo decided to use their time as effective prisoners to sharpen their skills and up their game.  After recruiting long time friend and multi-instrumentalist James Womack, they knew immediately that they were creating something special that was both unique and new, but familiar at the same time.

With El Ticket blending their passion for Pop and Rock music with a deep appreciation for Mexican culture, this band of gringos quickly found their stride and released their debut EP entitled Flaminghosts Demos as a nod to their ill-fated original band name Flaminghosts.  Songs in both Spanish and English, fast or slow, dance grooves to heart breakers, El Ticket is a band who is not afraid to do something different and can not be easily placed into a single genre.

Taking inspiration from decades of Pop and Rock music, El Ticket has made a concerted effort to create music that is authentic to who they are as musicians.  Whether it’s a ballad, aggressive punk, reverb laden surf, or a soulful jam, El Ticket has something in their repertoire for all music fans.

Josh Urich is a multi-instrumentalist/songwriter from San Diego, CA who has spent the last three years studying and finding his         sound under a Commercial Music Degree at PLNU.

His latest release, "Cure My Memory", is a catchy dance tune influenced by Japanese City Pop. This flirty love song was a fun challenge and attempt to do something different that still finds a place in his catalog.

Being raised in Encinitas, CA, a San Diego town drenched with surfers and great waves, Josh can’t help but let those feel-good surf   vibes leak into the songs he writes. They mix with jazz elements, a genre he has enjoyed studying over the years. Raised by his       mother playing Prince, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, U2, Pearl Jam, and more, he has become a devout music lover/enthusiast.

His passion for writing songs began in a friend's loft in 2017. Surrounded by confident creatives, Josh was encouraged to write his   first song. From that moment on, the seal was broken and songs began flowing like water. With the help of his mentor, Tonga, and   the influence of artists like Hippo Campus, Young the Giant, Frank Ocean, The 1975, and Last Dinosaurs, Josh Urich refined his     craft and has been hooked on creating music and writing meaningful lyrics ever since.

After making friends with an amazing mix-engineer/producer, Josh Goode, in college, Josh Urich began to excel and find his sound. He recently finished his first LP with Goode, set to be released March 17, 2023, and is already underway with album number two!
